The 40 Acres Art Gallery is integrated within a larger entity, the 23,000 square foot multi-use 40 Acres Art Gallery and Cultural Center, which includes a Starbucks coffee shop, the historic Guild Theater, a barber shop and an African-American bookstore.

The 40 Aces Art Gallery, along with the Guild Theater, is part of the arts programming of St. HOPE Academy. Founded in 1989 by former NBA superstar Kevin Johnson, St. HOPE Academy revitalizes inner-city communities through public education, civic leadership, economic development and arts enrichment.
